Sony to Announce CyberShot with 1080p Video
To stand out in today's digital camera market, you need to break new ground and do something that really makes your camera stand out. Latest word from the rumor mill is that Sony is going the other way and releasing a camera with specs we've seen. But somehow it's still kinda cool.
Details of a new CyberShot DSC-HX1 are emerging with a possible official debut at PMA.
The CyberShot DSC-HX1 would be Sony's new flagship model (aside from their dSLR line) and boasts some impressive features such as 20x optical zoom, 2.7 inch LCD display, and 10 frames per second burst mode (that's better than any entry level dSLR). But the coolest feature is the 1080p video recording with high quality sound (of course we already knew HD would be big this year at PMA). Now you can have your cake and eat it too.
What will this wonder of a camera cost? Rumors indicate $571, but will most likely sell for $400-$500. No word yet on availability as it has officially been announced yet.
